The 'best-before' day

A broken label. The expiry date just too close. A nightly overproduction. All reasons to make perfectly safe food unsold in a rich and picky market. They call it "surplus food", but it can actually help save lives.

FareShare volunteers collect it from producers and deliver it to charities and people in need. Lives with no homes, lives with addictions, lives with social exclusion. A race against time, every day at dawn, in order to prevent "surplus food" from being discarded. A race that is also against poverty. A race against food waste. Because bread on one more table means a life is being helped.
