New Young Britain

Dormers Well High School, Southall, borough of Ealing, Greater London. A reportage of the everyday life of the school during different times of the year - taken from the privileged point of view of an insider. The science lab, an English lesson, a singing essay.

Over 1,000 students, as many faiths as languages (at least 40 are spoken in DWHS) - in one of the largest Asian communities in Europe, the school materialises the idea of “multicultural Britain”. It reflects closely the make-up of the community that surrounds it. These shots are part of a long-term project we've established with DWHS - more to come soon.
